Daniel
Day-Lewis provides his a magnificent and convincing performance, while
one can't help but fall in love with Madeleine Stowe in her portrayal as
Cora Munro, the aristocratic daughter of a proud British Colonel. Wes Studi
offers a chilling performance as the Huron warrior, Magua-Now this is how
a "bad-guy" should be played.
Last of the Mohicans is a classic love story of two people from different worlds thrust together amidst the brutal conflict between the British, the French and Native American allies. |

What
the viewer doesn't want to miss is the second, less conspicuous love story
taking place between Hawkeye's brother and Cora's sister.
The battle scenes appear very genuine as well. Watch for the scene when Hawkeye runs through every obstacle to save Cora during the main battle scene. The choreography is amazing; in fact, just about everything about this film is amazing. |
The Last of the Mohicans is a film paralleled by
few. Michael Mann's strive for all around excellence is a delight for genuine
film lovers. This film is a classic- A must see!
